Драга браћо и сестре,
Пре две хиљаде година, мудри и учени људи онога времена, вођени чудесним звездом, кренули су од Истока према Западу. И кад су стигли у Витлејем, обрадовали су се неисказаном радошћу, јер су пронашли новорођеног Јудејског Цара (Мт.
2,2). Дошавши до детета поклонили су Му се и даривали Га златом, тамјаном и измирном (Мт.
2,11).
Како нам вели Свето Писмо, мудраци су Му дали оно што је најскупље и најдраже. А изнад свега, поклонили су Њему сами себе. Јер су превалили огромни пут, поднели много муке и пролили много зноја, да би видели Траженога. И верујемо да је Новорођеном Богомладенцу Цару, Господу Исусу Христу, милије било њихово лично клањање од свег њиховог злата, тамјана и измирне.
И
ми данас, љубљена браћо и сестре, најпре дарујмо Спаситељу наше душе, срце и тело. Јер ће Му то бити најблагоугоднија жртва (Рим.
12,1). Међутим, не заборавимо ни оне најмање, најсиромашније, напрезреније, гладне и жедне, са којима се Он изједначио, рекавши: "Јер ко вас напоји чашом воде у име моје, зато што сте Христови, заиста вам кажем, неће изгубити плату своју" (Мт.
9,41). А таквих има на милионе и милионе по свим континентима. Помислимо опет на старе и нејаке, на Косову и Метохији, у овој земљи, и по целоме свету, на оне који су настрадали од природних непогода: потреса, поплава и пожара, и отворимо наша срца. Дарујмо им у име Христово и плата нам неће пропасти.
У
име свих њих захваљујемо се свима вама. Такође, хвала вам од свег срца и душе што сте до сада приложили за наше Цркве, нашу Епархију и наше манастире. Увек се сећајте речи великог Апостола: "А добро чинити да нам не досади..."(Гал.
6,9)

On the Nativity
of Christ 2005
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced
with exceeding great joy"
(Mt. 2:10)
Dear brothers and sisters,
Two thousand years ago, wise and learned men of the time
led by a wonderous star journeyed from the East to the
West. And when they arrived in Bethlehem, the rejoiced
with exceeding great joy, for they found the newborn
King of the Jews (Mt. 2:2). Having come to the Child,
they worshipped Him and they presented to Him gifts of
gold, frankincense and myrrh (Mt. 2:11).
Just
as the Holy Scriptures declare to us, the wise men
gave Him that which was the most precious and most
cherished. But above all they worshipped Him themselves.
They had traveled a very long way, endured much hardship
and invested a great deal of sweat in order to see
Him whom they sought. And we believe that to the newborn
Christ Child, the King, the Lord Jesus Christ, their
personal worship was more dear than all of their gold,
frankincense and myrrh.
Likewise today, dear brothers and sisters, we first
of all give to Him our souls, heart and body,
for this will
be the most acceptable to Him (Rm. 12:1). However,
let us not forget the least among our brethren, the
poor, the despised, the hungry and thirsty, with whom
He has humbled Himself to be like, saying: For whosoever
shall give you a cup of water to drink in My name,
becasue ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you,
he shall not lose his reward (Mk. 9:41). There are
millions upon millions of such people on all the continents.
Let us also call to mind the old and weak, in Kosovo
and Metohija, in this country, and all around the world,
as well as those who suffer from natural disasters:
earthquakes, floods and fires, and let us open our
hearts to them. Let us give in the name of Christ and
our reward shall not be lost.
In their name we thank you. We also thank with all our heart
and soul those who have donated to our Church, our Diocese and
our monasteries. Always call to mind the words of the great Apostle:
And let us not be weary in well-doing...(Gal. 6:9).
With ineffable spiritual joy we greet you exclaiming:
